High School is preparatory to college and it is a period for transformation on the part of young adults. As such UB High School aims to:
1. Prepare the students academically and intellectually for life.
2. Develop their interests, talents and potentials necessary
for their chosen field of endeavor.
3. Deepen their belief in God and strengthen their moral values.
4. Provide experiences for leadership and responsible Filipino Citizenship.
5. Develop their social orientation to serve others and the community.
History of the UB High School
On June 1947, almost a year after Rafael Palma College was founded; the High School Department came into existence.She opened her doors to more than 1000 students from first to fourth year levels. The principal, Mrs. Romana O. Manalo, was assigned to office with a complete teaching force of 10 devoted teachers.
The high school population was housed in an eight-room structure then known as Gallares building located near the wharf. Today,the High School is recognized to provide quality education in the secondary level through the development of the trinity of virtues - scholarship, character and service.
